Star's ideal home
Star is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in and enjoy, with adopters who will take her on gentle sniffy walks followed by a nice snooze on the sofa. She can live with children aged 14 and over who will play with her nicely and will understand when she needs a break and give her space to relax and rest when needed. She could live with another calm and polite dog who will happily co-exist, though this is not a necessity, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. Star has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit”, she is willing to engage in training if a tasty treat is on offer, she was fully housetrained in her last home, but may need a refresher in her new home so access to a private, secure garden is needed. Star is very worried being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time or can take her with them when they go out. Star will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Sweet and curious girl Star is a 9 year old Dachshund with a nose that loves to sniff. She takes a little time to feel comfortable around new people, but once she comes out of her shell she is a bubbly and adventurous little lady. She likes a gentle fuss, and will on occasion climb into your lap. She likes a soft, smelly and will take them gently from the hand. This wonderful lass is ready to find her new home.
