About This Dog

Nate's ideal home

Nate would thrive in a quiet, low‑activity home with predictable routines and someone around most of the time.

He could live with secondary school-aged children, provided they are confident, calm and able to give him space when needed.

Nate is a sensitive, people‑oriented boy who struggles with being left alone and needs adopters who can help him build confidence gradually. He also finds vet handling stressful and will benefit from gentle, positive‑based training when visiting the vets.

Nate cannot live with cats, birds or small furies due to strong chase behaviour.

Could you be Nate's perfect match?

Nate is an adorable two‑year‑old Dachshund with a wonderfully gentle and loving nature.

He is sweet, sensitive, and incredibly affectionate—always ready to bond closely with his people. Nate thrives with kind, patient adopters who can help him continue building confidence and feeling secure.

In his foster home, Nate has shown just how loving he can be. He adores cuddles, regularly curling up on laps and seeking reassurance from his favourite person. He enjoys calm, curious walks and loves exploring his surroundings. Playtime is a joy for him—soft toys, tug games, and gentle treat-taking are all things he excels at.

Nate is still working on his housetraining, but with positive guidance, encouragement, and plenty of outdoor opportunities, he’s sure to make steady progress.

He would do best in a home where he won’t be left alone for long, as he feels worried when separated from his people.

Car travel is another area he’s learning to feel confident with. He sometimes needs a little help getting into the car, and he may feel anxious during journeys—but with continued patience and positive experiences, he has lots of potential to improve.
