About This Dog

Freddie's ideal home

Freddie can live with children of primary school age but he will need to be the only dog at home. He is house trained but will toilet if left for too long so any solo time will need to be built up gradually. Freddie has some pain in his hips and requires daily medication to manage it.

Could you be Freddie's perfect match?

Freddie is a curious little lad who happily investigates new areas with confidence. He loves his walks but can be quite vigilant, always watching for other dogs or animals. If there are no other dogs around, Freddie is a happy and relaxed chap. He can be unsure of new people but he has warmed to everyone at the centre as we took a slow approach with him and let him get comfortable with us. Freddie is a great eater and enjoys his meals, but he can be a fussy boy when it comes to treats, and only really likes the good stuff! He knows a "sit" but Freddie does seem to lack other training. He will be clean at night if crated, but if left too long at home, he may toilet. He would benefit from some focus work to help him enjoy his walks more, encouraging him to concentrate more on his handler than whether or not there's another dog about.
