About This Dog for Adoption

Winnie's ideal home

Winnie is a super-duper little pocket rocket, full of fun, super fast and extremely loving! Winnie is an interesting mixture of a Dachshund and Labrador, and very much embodies the wonderful qualities of both! Winnie is looking for a home where she can be the only dog at the moment, she grew up with a elderly JRT brother but other than him, hasn't had much socialisation with other dogs but has been doing well making gentle friends here, so this will to be continued in her new home. Winnie can live with children 8+ who are dog savvy and any time left home alone will need to be built up slowly as she isn't used to this currently. Winnie has just moved to one of our wonderful foster homes and is settling into a new environment and learning lots of new things.

Could you be Winnie's perfect match?

Winnie is so much fun, she has made us all laugh so much here at the centre with her antics, she loves her toys! She will make every effort to fit two toys at once in her mouth and run around very proudly with them. She is a very fast girl! She loves to shoot out of her kennel when it's time to run to the yard or field and does a lovely zoom and then happily potters and plays with her toys. She will need an active home so she can keep busy both mentally and physically but also a home with time and patience to help her adapt. Winnie can be a bit barky when she is unsure of new things and people out and about so this will need to be considered and continued to work on with positive training, as well as her toilet training in the house, although she is trying! Winnie is going to make an absolutely wonderful addition to the right home.
