Parker & Penelope's ideal home

Parker & Penelope are a wonderful little duo who are looking for a calm new home with an understanding family who are going to give them time, space and patience to decompress. They couldn't live with young children as they are worried souls but they do enjoy being around other dogs. Their new family will ideally have Dachshund experience and understand their temperaments and if not, then willing to research the breed beforehand and know that they will be taking on a wonderful pair of dogs that happen to next extra TLC, they are not clean in the house and this will need to be taken into account before taking them on that this will need work and understanding.

Could you be Parker & Penelope's perfect match?

Penelope is the more confident of the two and the merle style Dacs, although the more confident, she is also a nervous girl too and is worried initially meeting new people so needs to go slow and be given time, of which the most process will be made in a home environment. Parker is a bit more nervous that Penelope but does follow her lead, and tasty food helps to bring this along, he does have nervous wees when he is over whelmed, but, for the both of them, once they do know you, they are full of character cuddles & fun! They have mixed with lots of dogs here at centre and done well, being very polite and friendly. They have spent a lot of time in our reception area with us and can bark at the door going and lots of back and forth, this will need to be taken into account and Dachshunds can enjoy a bark! This duo so deserve their committed, happy ever after and we need to pair them with a committed, understanding new family who know that they are taking on a pair that need that work, time and patience so that they don't have to be moved on again and can settle in their happy ever after.
