About This Dog for Adoption

Beenie's ideal home

Beenie is a nervous dog who needs a home where any children are over 14 years and he could live with a suitable dog. He's house trained but not used to spending time by himself and will likely have an accident if he is.

Could you be Beenie's perfect match?

Beenie is a such a sweet and affectionate young chap, an unusual mix of Pomeranian and Dachshund. He has settled well into centre life but he is a nervous boy who likes to take his time to get to know people, and he does well with encouragement from his handlers. We believed he had never played before his arrival but we've seen that actually, he really, really loves toys! He will bring them to you and loves to play fetch. Beenie likes other dogs too, but seems much more comfortable around smaller dogs, understandable when you're only six inches high. We would rehome him with another dog but he can be quite humpy at times, but we believe this may just be down to stress or novelty, and hopefully he will stop once settled. Beenie isn't used to spending time by himself so his owners will need to understand that any solo time will need to be built up gradually for him. He should be left by alone whilst feeding as we know he has snapped over resources in the home, but all dogs should be left to eat in peace.
