About This Dog

George's ideal home

George is a handsome 2-year-old Dachshund looking for a calm, understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence. He is very friendly and affectionate with the people he knows and loves nothing more than playing with his toys before curling up for a cuddle on your lap. George can be nervous around new people, particularly men, and can feel conflicted about being groomed, but he is making great progress in foster care and is gaining confidence every day. He is able to wear a harness and can be left alone for short periods.

Could you be George's perfect match?

George will need a patient, adult-only home that can give him the time and reassurance he needs to feel safe and secure. He is worried around other dogs and prefers to avoid them, so he must be the only dog in the household. In return, George will reward his new family with loyalty, affection and companionship. If you can offer a quiet environment, gentle guidance and plenty of lap space, George could be the perfect addition to your home
