About This Dog

Fifty's ideal home

Fifty is a sweet 1-year-old crossbreed searching for a loving home with his brother Stanley, as this bonded pair are looking to start their next chapter together. Fifty is an active boy who loves running around, exploring, and making the most of his adventures. While he enjoys being on the go, he also has a softer side and loves nothing more than snuggling up for cuddles after a busy day. He can be a little anxious at times and will benefit from patient owners who can help him build confidence and settle into home life. he is best suited to a home with slightly older children who can understand when he is feeling overwhelmed. Fifty will need support with housetraining and should be gradually introduced to being left alone. He can be vocal towards other dogs on walks, so ongoing socialisation will be important. Fifty also has some medical needs, which our team will be happy to discuss with potential adopters.

Could you be Fifty's perfect match?

Fifty is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
