About This Dog

Stanley's ideal home

Stanley is a lovable 1-year-old crossbreed that is searching for his forever home alongside his brother, Fifty, as the pair share a strong bond. Stanley can be a little shy and anxious when faced with new situations, but with patience and reassurance his confidence soon begins to grow. For this reason he is better suited to a home with slightly older children (around 12+) who can understand when he needs space. Once he feels comfortable, his cheeky and affectionate personality shines through. He loves a good play session and is always ready for some fun, but he's equally happy curling up for plenty of cuddles with his favourite people. Stanley will need support with housetraining and any time spent alone should be introduced gradually. He can be vocal around other dogs on walks, so his new family will need to continue building his confidence and social skills through positive experiences.

Could you be Stanley's perfect match?

Stanley is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
