About This Dog

Wally's ideal home

Wally is a gorgeous 3 year old Dachshund with the sweetest temperament. He is a little bit of a worried boy and would love calm and patient adopters who can spend plenty of quality time with him and help him settle into the home. He can be a bit vocal at first in new environments, but once he has built up his confidence, he is a sweet and snuggly boy. Wally would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but can live with younger primary school children due to his gentle nature.

Could you be Wally's perfect match?

Wally prefers quieter walks at the moment, where he can have a good sniff and investigate on his own terms. He walks well on lead and prefers calm dogs when out and about, as he is curious but prefers to interact on his own terms. Wally travels well in the car, so as he builds his confidence, he could go out for gentle adventures with his new family. Once he gets to know you, Wally loves a gentle fuss and a cuddle, preferring to curl up on a soft, cosy bed.
