About This Dog

Polly's ideal home

Polly is a sweet but sensitive young girl who came into our care after being found as a stray. She can be a little shy initially but over time does relax and enjoys a tickle under her chin. She is best suited to an adult only home but can have visiting children of secondary school age once settled into her new home. Polly loves other dogs and will benefit from sharing her new home with a confident pooch, pending successful mixes at the centre. We have no history of her with cats but she could potentially live with one, pending successful scent swaps. This would be in a home that can keep them separate to begin with and gradually introduce them.

Could you be Polly's perfect match?

Polly is a 1 year old Dachshund cross who can't wait to find her forever home. We don’t know anything about her former life or if she’s ever lived in a home so she’ll appreciate a patient family who can introduce her to the basics, including car travel and housetraining. However, she does try her best to keep her kennel clean so it shouldn't take her long to pick this up in her new home. She will be ok being left home alone for a few hours. If Polly sounds like your perfect pooch, then add her as a favourite today!
