About This Dog

Doris's ideal home

Doris is a super sweet lady looking for her forever home!

She is a 10-year-old Dachshund who loves all her home comforts and being treated like the princess she is!

She can often found in her favorite spots throughout the house, the sofa being one of them and enjoys sleeping in her foster carers’ bed at night so she would really love a home where she gets to be allowed all her comfy spots.

Miss Doris loves getting out and about for walks and walks well but isn’t a fan of cold or rainy days so she would really like her forever home to have a garden she can potter about in when the weather takes a turn.

She is an affectionate lady who loves a fuss and having company so will need an adopter who is around the house for much of the day until she can feel comfortable with her time alone being built up. This will be especially important in the initial days post-adoption to help her build confidence in her new surroundings.

Being long-haired, she will need an adopter who will enjoy keeping up with her grooming and Doris is quite happy to lavish in the time spent helping her look amazing and feel silky smooth.

She must be the only pet in the home and could live with children of primary age and above who have a sensible approach to dogs.

Doris will make a lovely addition to someone's home - if you feel that Doris is the lady for you, follow the steps below to submit an application and don't forget to "favourite" her!

Could you be Doris's perfect match?

Doris has been a wonderful house guest in one of our foster homes and has been really thriving once she had time to settle in and make herself comfy!

Doris spends much of her day lounging about her favorite spots in the home and enjoying her walks when it’s dry and not too cold (who can blame her!).

She loves company and someone being in the room with her but doesn’t feel the need to be stuck too tightly to you. She can be a little anxious being left alone initially in a new environment so will need an understanding adopter who is willing to build up her time alone, at her pace.

Doris has been a really lovely lady who endears everyone she meets so we know she'll make an amazing companion - if you believe that Doris would be perfect for your home, follow the steps below to submit an application and "favourite" her.
