Angel's ideal home

Angel is a sweet yet shy 9-year-old Dachshund. She can be worried by the big wide world but given time and patience she would make a great little companion. She would prefer a quiet and calm household, so we are looking for an adult only home without too many comings and goings, although we would consider high school age children and above if they are calm and sensible. Due to Angel being shy to begin with, we are looking for adopters that live close enough to the centre for her to have multiple visits. Angel has previously lived with cats and dogs so we wouldn’t rule them out in the future, but as Angel is so worried, she might be better as the only pet in the home. Angel will need an enclosed garden to help her during her settling in period.

Angel can be shy initially, but once she has a built a bond with her someone, she is so affectionate and friendly. She’s not really interested in toys, but she loves going out for walks and she potters along nicely on the lead. Angel is currently living off site in a foster home where she likes to sleep in the same room as her carer, so any potential adopter will need to be happy with that and understanding she may be a little shadow initially until she overcomes some of her anxieties! Once settled in, Angel is fine to be left for a few hours and she is fully housetrained.
