About This Dog for Adoption

Clover's ideal home

Clover is a 3 month old Terrier cross, she is currently in foster with her brother Pluto. They are looking for a home together. Clover loves exploring and is a very active adventures young pup. She does require basic puppy training and continued housetraining. She sleeps well in her crate at night with her brother. They can be left for a couple of hours (building up/while housetraining). She loves playing with her toys, and loves going for walks with her brother. They are lovely pair and with a family that has the time to work on housetraining and puppy classes they will be a great addition to the right family. Pluto Clover's brother is completely blind and has been since birth, this is explained more on Pluto's description, but this does not get in the way of Pluto exploring, once he has found his feet in a property, he gets around no issues at all.

Could you be Clover's perfect match?

Looking for two adventures puppies, Clover and Pluto could be the dogs for you. With continued puppy training and socialisation, they will continue growing into amazing companions, that we can already see. If you feel you can offer them their forever home, please apply today.

Dachshund Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Dachshund.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Dachshund Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
